Battersea Power Station mini series
Awarded Grade II listing status in 1980, Battersea Power Station is of significant importance in London. It started producing electricity in 1935 and at it’s peak, produced a fifth of London’s power. Gina visited in 2013 to photograph Battersea just as the groundwork for renovation was beginning. She said it was incredible to be in the central boiler house – the space is so huge that St. Pauls Cathedral could fit within the space. Gina also went up the chimneys, in both of the control rooms and the turbine halls.
